Fresh every time we are craving some Hopia! Ube and Mongo are our favs but you can't go wrong with any of their other flavors! Service always quick. Might have to wait if they run out and are baking more in the back but it's totally worth it because when it comes out right from the oven it's even better. Great prices, perfect size and so yummy!

This spot has been around for a while, and we finally decided to check it out--OMG, total game changer! I tried my first-ever warm hopia, and it did not disappoint. The hopia is super soft, the filling is flavorful without being too sweet, and they're not dry or crumbly at all. My go-to used to be Hopia Baboy, but now I'm hooked on the Langka (jackfruit)--so good! The Ube and pineapple are also amazing. This place is definitely our new favorite!

So.... Delicious. My favorite are the ube flavored pastries. So far, I think they're the best ones.

This is my favorite place to buy freshly made hopia. They consistently deliver delicious tasting hopia, better than any store bought ones. Service is quick and efficient. This place is casual, I mainly just come order and go. They offer six flavors including ube, buko pandan, langka (jackfruit), pineapple, red bean (monggo), and baboy (pork). I always order a dozen because they're just too good. I think the hopia aren't too sweet either which is a bonus. My favorite flavor here is the buko pandan because I can really taste the flavors more. These sweet treats are great for any occasion and I'll always keep buying my hopia here. Parking is available in their lot which is next to a supermarket.

The Pork hopia is flaky and perfectly seasoned. You have to eat it while you're at the bakery. It comes out straight from the oven so eat! The kid that served me is so nice and accommodating. Not your typical millennial. This is a small little store but man, the food is amazing. So go! And get a dozen and more. It is addicting over tea.

So we went on vacation in San Diego for two weeks and in the two weeks we were there we returned to Ching's for 4 times. Their hopia is one of the best I have ever had. Its made daily, very fresh and sometimes if you are lucky tou can get it fresh out of the oven. I am actually someone who never ate hopia. I never liked the texture or the taste of any hopia I got but this place is a gam changer. When you enter the store it seems kind of empty because nothing is really on display but then you realize all their goodies are back in a warmer. Our favorite flavors are buko pandan, baboy (sweet onion) and ube. And in the case you don't get them hot out of the oven, all you have to do is heat it up for 10 seconds in the oven. I am already trying to figure put how to get these bad boys on the East coast.

Small shop with plenty of parking. Nice seating area and super nice customer service. The guy who helped me was such a nice guy! He said "looks like a before dinner snack" ummm yes!!! Absolutely the plan! But what was supposed to be a little sweet snack became my dinner as they were so irresistibly delicous! Hands down the best hopia I've ever eaten. They give them warm to you and taste freshly made. My personal favorite was the Ube but they were honestly all soo good! Glad I live In National City and that my grocery store is right next to it cause this girl will be a regular! Go support this local business. You can thank me later!

I've been convinced that Valerios makes some solid hopia , UNTIL CHINGS. National city has some Filipino gems and I'd like to consider chings to be one of them . Located in a not so inviting strip mall , but don't let that steer you away ! If you like hopia, I highly recommend you pay chings a visit . They have tasty unique hopia flavors that do not disappoint . My favorite of course are the pandan and ube. When they're hot and fresh , they're unmatched ! If you're ever in the mood for some hopia and happen to be in the San Diego area, pay chings a visit ! You won't regret it .
